Roustan Body Paint Photo Book (NSFW)
I can't do what body paint artist Paul Roustan does. And while I definitely have the body to serve as one of his subjects, my mama always tells me that modesty is a virtue, and also that she'll be forever grateful that my umbilical cord didn't do to her bellybutton what it did to mine, so, um, I guess Roustan won't be hiring me as a human canvas anytime soon either. But one thing I am very, very well equipped to do is gawk at his work. I bet you are too.
For around 10 years now, Roustan has spent his hamster wheel hours painting on people. Over 300 bellies-to-jellyfish and boobs-to-biker-icons later, he's decided to compile the, er, body of his work into a 290-page hardcover photographic art book. What I know: it is filled with 130+ full-color photographs of Roustan's body paintings, some of the magnitude and brilliance of which you can see in the images here. It also includes anecdotes and 5 step-by-step tutorials for creating your own epidermal masterpieces. What I don't know: the name of the book. My best guess is Unbelievable Body Paint Photography Art Book.
Whatever Roustan's in-print collection of his decade's worth of elbow grease is called, it's the real deal. Real...and spectacular.
Seriously. I can't even spot an implant beneath the painted artistry.
