Keewifi Tap & Connect Secure Router
The Keewifi router boasts the performance and security of standard password-protected routers without the frustrating configuration processes and assigned passwords. When you want to browse or stream from a device, or have guests over who want to connect to your network, there's no need to dig up a 15-character nonsensical password, or remember if yours is iheartpringles or iheartcornnuts. Just tap the device to the Keewifi for instant and secure connectivity.
Keewifi setup entails the tedious and time-consuming tasks of: 1) taking it out of the box; and 2) plugging it in to power and network cables. Really. The router requires no complicated configurations and has no supplemental software to install and muddle through. No more 192.666.666...I'm in WiFi hell malarkey to deal with either. Keewifi breaks it down to plug, tap, and play.
Despite the simple setup and password-free functionality, Keewifi will still keep your connection private and secure. The kid next door won't be able to leach bandwidth from you or hack into your iTunes library thanks to the router's use of proximity technology to authenticate devices. In order to join the network devices must come in close contact with the Keewifi's syncing panel - you know, they gotta tap that shit. Once a device completes this gesture, the authorization and connection process will take just a few seconds.
Keewifi features the latest wireless standard 802.11ac and enterprise networking technology. It supports simultaneous dual-band transmissions (2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz) with WiFi speeds of up to 867Mbps. It also has Beamforming technology to boost signal strength in the specific direction of connected WiFi devices, rather than sending an equal signal in all directions. This promotes lower interference and better coverage.
Additional Keewifi upgrades include a Zen Button that can automatically detect and switches to the least occupied channel in your area to maximize Internet bandwidth, and its custom Linux-based OS with a heavily-modified, business-grade WiFi driver that maintain a stable and reliable connection.
The Keewifi router seeks Kickstarter funding through January 6, 2015.
