One Foot Taller Periscope Glasses

An alternative to strapping 12-inch heels to your feet, the One Foot Taller Periscope Glasses let you jack up your height from the other end - with a 12-inch rod and mirrors mounted to your eyes.

One Foot Taller Periscope Glasses use a mirror at the top of the rod and a piece of mirrored acrylic angling out from the bottom of the spectacles to give wearers a view of what's going on a foot above their head height. The glasses come from the insanely creative and quirky mind of Dominic Wilcox, who got the idea at show when he saw a lady on the shorter side bustin' a move to a band she couldn't see.

One Foot Taller Periscope Glasses are Wilcox's response to a challenge from Microsoft Surface to come up with an extraordinary solution to an everyday problem for an expo in London. Well done, Mr. Wilcox. And if you check out his website and portfolio, you'll see the height-enhancing glasses aren't the only clever idea the artist has had over the years.

Enjoy a couple more interesting eyewear modifications too with the Sportnoculars and the world upside down goggles.
