The Romotow travel trailer is a snazzy open & spin RV design from New Zealand-based W2 Architecture. The firm developed their space-creating concept several years ago, and have just begun construction of the first Romotow fleet, possibly to come forth and meet all of your road tripping and camping glamping needs by the end of this year.
Or perhaps to become the new vehicular mascot for Apple.
They say the "Romotow" name is a play on the phrase "room to move," and while I say whoever came up with that must be dyslexic, I have to give W2 credit for vision and taste. The trailer looks damn cool and, as you can see in the video, presents even cooler when it opens, and rotates 90 degrees to reveal a covered synthetic teak deck you can use as an outdoor seating and cleanup area.
And then convert to a sleeping space for fellow travelers who snore.
The Romotow caravan is 30' long x 8.5' wide, and has about 290' of living space (before its open & spin magic act). Inside you'll find a lounging area, bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom. The trailer sleeps 4, two in the bedroom, and 2 in a fold-out living room couch. For the outdoor space, Romotow will come with awnings and screens, plus a BBQ area, furniture, and sliding doors.
