Boo Bubble Blower Kit - Dry Ice Bubble Maker
Boo Bubbles is a great name for Steve Spangler's Bubble Blower Kit, even though it doesn't specifically mention the best part about the bubbles - the dry ice they contain inside. The reasons are twofold: 1) Said dry ice gives them a supernatural, ghostly appearance, which goes hand-in-hand with the exclamation, "Boo!"; 2) I keep writing "Boob Bubbles" instead of "Boo Bubbles," which makes me giggle.
The Boo Bubble Blower Kit is a fun STEM activity for kids, showing them the science of sublimation as the dry ice turns from solid to gas, and the rate of reaction when experimenting with different water temperatures. I feel like the resultant dry ice bubbles could also make great Halloween party decor.
But what I really wonder is if there is a way to replace the dry ice in the Boo Bubble Blower Kit with some lit buds. Now that would be an interesting STEM experiment. Not to mention a whole lot cheaper than buying a Volcano.
