Dhow Sushi Boat Serving Tray
I know even some of the cheapest sushi joints serve their spicy tuna and krab rolls out of a sushi boat, but it always makes me feel so Most Interesting Man in the World to dip my chopsticks into a majestic ship to pull up my perfect cylinder of sticky rice and cubed fish wrapped in seaweed.
Or, as the case may be, dip my chopsticks into a majestic ship to lift and then drop my perfect cylinder of sticky rice....
This extra, extra majestic sushi serving tray is a dhow boat. Characterized by their uniquely-shaped triangular sails, dhows spent a few centuries shipping goods and people through the Indian Ocean. They say this wooden tray is an exact replica of one, but minus the standout sails, it really just looks more special to me because its wood is finished and shiny.
While made for sushi, you can use the Dhow Boat Serving Tray to display and dish up other foods too. Little toast point appetizers, deviled eggs, mini cupcakes, or - yes, please! - a big ol' pile of Epic Chili Lime Pork Rinds.
The sushi boat measures 27" long x 5-1/2" wide x 8-1/2" tall.
