This 2 oz. bottle of Luminol contains the exact formula used worldwide by Crime Scene Investigators. The way you get its blue chemiluminescence to show is simple. 1) Bleed all over something. 2) Clean it up. 3) Spray Luminol on the "cleaned" bloodied areas, and watch its latent evidence appear. I like how maker Pioneer Forensics describes the types of CSI locales that require Luminol application as places that have experienced a "bloodletting event." As if one could just as easily be a blood drive or a leech party as the scene of a crime.
For best results, Luminol should be mixed and sprayed to suspected surfaces immediately prior to use, and applied in complete darkness. It has been proven to detect evidence of blood presence over 36 months old.
Some reasons the average non-aspiring forensic investigator might want a bottle of Luminol include...um...it's for sale on Amazon. I would also get some to spray all over any used car or item of clothing I was ever considering purchasing.
