Turbo Wooden Car Coffee Table

The Turbo Low Table is an inspired design from Maarten Baas. I say that because as a wood coffee table shaped like a vintage car, it's one Dad will be all over, and as a sleek and finely built piece of furniture, Mom won't hate with a passion, but begrudgingly accept as part of her living room decor because marriage is a compromise.

The kids will love it too. And probably try to climb all over and ride it, especially with those nubby bronze wheels. I can see it now: climb; bounce; kick; vrrroooom! There goes $4,500.

Despite its price rendering the table not very suitable for children, Baas' inspiration for the Turbo Low did come from a child's drawing. In addition to its smooth wooden frame and metal wheels, the car's "antenna" adds more whimsy to the design as a pen in a pen holder.

Wooden car coffee table dimensions are 51.6" wide x 18.5" deep x 15.8" tall.
