The people want burritos! It's no surprise Hamilton Beach has followed up its wildly popular Breakfast Sandwich Maker with a Breakfast Burrito Maker because, well, the people want burritos! Since 1975, according to Wikipedia, which is when a Mexican diner in Santa Fe claims to have invented the first one. Now they are staples on all fast food chain morning menus, and way more popular than the e-muff sandwich at fine brunch destinations. Particularly the joints that manage to stuff 4 eggs, 4 strips of bacon, and half a pound of cheese into a tortilla bigger than my hangover.
The Breakfast Burrito Maker cannot accommodate tortillas the size of Jabba the Hutt's face, but it does deal nicely with normal-sized tortillas from the store, which it can grill and stack with the eggs, cheese, and peppers & onions it cooks at the same time. Preheat the griddle, layer in your ingredients on their designated shelves (you can add meat too, but it needs to be pre-cooked), and hold your horses for 5 minutes. That's the exact number this at-home burrito maker needs to produce a taste bomb for your palate and a gut bomb for your belly 7 days a week.
The burrito chef's built-in timer sounds when cooking is complete, and a combination of flip-up lids and slide-out skillets make removal and compilation as easy as making the decision not to eat oatmeal this morning. Couldn't be any better, 'ey?
Oh yes it could. This Burrito Maker can also make crepes, personal pizzas, omelets, and stuffed pancakes. Mmmm, extra fluffy, extra ham, and extra whipped cream on mine, please.
