Someone with a very...very high opinion of these silicone suction storage lids calls them "one part rocket scientist, and two parts supermodel." Uh. What? Not that turning the cups and bowls you just used into instant tupperware containers to store leftovers, and then reheat them in the microwave, is a dumb, ugly idea, but.... It's definitely not on the level of the Fletcher Capstan table. That's the one part rocket scientist, two parts supermodel in my opinion.
Still, maybe you're tired of battling crap plastic wrap. Or you always seem to have a tupperware container but no lid, or vice versa. Or you're like me and just like the idea of eating half the 4th bowl of chili now, and saving the other half for later, without a lot of effort or risk that your finacee will yell at you for stinking up the fridge when you stick the bowl in there uncovered.
The GIR (Get It Right) Lid Series is a collection of silicone storage and reheating covers that come in a variety of sizes to form-fit over most round containers. They make an airtight seal around container perimeters for preservation in both the refrigerator and freezer. They are also heat resistant to 550 degrees F, so you can microwave or bake with them in the oven.
The kaleidoscopic (supermodel!) silicone lids suction over and onto any smooth surface, including stainless steel, aluminum, plastic, and Pyrex.
