Kebabs, bacon, steaks, sandwiches. Yep, T-fal pretty much has the cooking of all my major food groups covered with its OptiGrill. The electric grill is even compact enough that I bet I can do all my food prep right from my office desk. The device's Precision Grilling Technology system promises to cook food to my exact preferences too, based on the push-button program I select--burger, poultry, sandwich, sausage / pork, red meat, or fish--and by measuring content thickness. So I can rest assured my lamb souvlaki will be perfect even if I have to move away from it for a few minutes to, like, type something or otherwise do my job.
OptiGrill sensors automatically detect food thickness and adapt cooking time accordingly. The unit then beeps when food has reached Rare, Medium, and Well-done stages so you can choose when to remove it. T-fal has also built in a frozen food function that will defrost meats from the freezer in minutes. For foods not included on the grill's auto-cook list, such as vegetables (blech!) and your own custom creations, the OptiGrill's manual settings will give you free reign of cook time.
An 1,800-watt heating element serving die-cast aluminum, non-stick-coated plates provide OptiGrill power and heat distribution. Plates are removable and dishwasher safe.
