Leaf Plug N' Plant Cannabis Grow System
Marijuana is legal where I live (i.e., my bedroom) so why shouldn't I don my farmer's hat and experiment with growing my own? Especially now that sweet cannabis culinary gadgets like the Magical Butter and smart growing systems like Leaf are hitting the market. Leaf calls itself the world's first "Plug N' Plant" cannabis growing system, meaning that anyone, even someone stoned out of his gourd who isn't that bright to begin with, can grow high quality marijuana plants at home. In, Leaf adds, "a fun and interactive way."
The Leaf is essentially a fully enclosed box with a front door. From the outside it looks like a cross between a rolling suitcase and a mini fridge. Inside, the all-in-one system is equipped with lights, sensors, and automatic controls that optimize environmental conditions for plant growth. Settings adjust as needed, with no grower tending or input, to produce miniature cannabis forests of ideal (at least according to Leaf specs) size, weight, density, and potency. The system's progress, data, and options for anytime, anywhere monitoring through a built-in HD camera all beam to the Leaf app on growers' smartphones.
At printing, the Leaf system was available for pre-order at an introductory price of $1,500 (anticipated retail will be between $1,800 and $2,200). Shipping is slated for Summer 2016.
