When I hear the name "Willy the Worm," and think of what Willy the Worm might be used for, "water sensor for houseplants" isn't the first thing that comes to mind. Or the second. Those would be: 1) a tool to help you launder money; and 2) a cock 'n' balls warmer in the shape of a worm.

For once, it's nice to see I'm wrong, and that Willy the Worm is actually a very wholesome product made to help you keep your plants from dying of thirst or drowning. Made of moisture-reactive terracotta, Willy turns a darker color when plants are well-fed, and then dries back to his original, lighter shade when it's time to grab the watering can. To ensure his readings are accurate, you'll stake the worm about three-quarters of his total length into the plant's soil.
