The Espire Gas Mask
Carlos Schreib created the Espire respirator for professional varnishers and chemical engineers who don't want to work with a heavy filter over their mouth or walk around the office looking like an evil steampunk doktor. Better to save that for leisure time.
The Espire shifts its filter to the top of the mask so the mouth section, while still sealed, is now transparent. In addition to increased comfort and a decreased sinister villain factor, the open mouth area makes communication while wearing the mask much easier. To breathe, Espire users draw air in from the top, in a linear stream that travels to an outlet valve at the chin. A divider separates the viewing and mouth sections to prevent fogging.
