Mars X-House: 1/3 Scale Mars Habitat Prototype
It's time to start shopping for real estate on Mars! SEArch+ / Apis Cor are offering up a piece of the Mars X-House to early settlers, or at least a chance to help prototype a 1/3 scale prototype of the 3D-printed habitat.
The Mars X-House is the result of SEArch+ / Apis Cor's partnership with Phase 3 of NASA's 3D-Printed Habitat Challenge. The company plans to print their prototype in concrete live during a NASA technology demonstration in May 2019. And by "the company" I mean the company's fully autonomous advanced robotics.
According to SEArch+ / Apis Cor these types of robo-builders will eventually be sent to Mars, the moon, and maybe elsewhere in the ether to build human shelters. The technology can also be used for affordable housing on earth, particularly where conventional building materials and skilled labor are hard to find.
