Kamp-Rite Double Tent Cot
A double Kamp-Rite Tent Cot?! Now that's a fine looking piece of sleeping dry and critter-free amidst the glory of nature and a liter of hooch. But my girlfriend hates camping. I only go with my friend Cornelius and, uh...ah, screw it. I'll take it. We'll sleep face-out, head-to-toe. Face-out, head-to-toe, Cornelius!
Like their Oversize Tent Cot, Kamp-Rite's Double sleeper elevates your horizontal self 11" off the ground. Light as a feather, stiff as board, but way more comfortable than a bunch of pokey fingertips. The elevation will also keep you off damp or rocky ground, and farther away from tiny, multi-legged bed crashers.
The Double Tent Cot is fully framed and enclosed. Like most ground tents, it is made of 420-denier nylon fabrice, and has tie-up mesh doors and windows. Unlike most ground tents, Kamp-Rite really means it when they say their cot is big enough for two. At 84" x 53", it's longer than a queen bed, and almost as wide (assembled it stands 40" tall).
