Hey, kid, go find me some sticks! Sixty-five of them to be exact. Hubs' DIY Garden Dome Kit is a box of "Hubs" and hardware you can use to create and snap together frame pieces to build sturdy geodesic structures. Use them to cover your garden, give your kids (or your dog) an outer spacey fort, make a festival tent, or design your own planetarium. The Hubs configurations and possibilities are limited only by your imagination, and the number of splinters you're willing to sustain during construction.

For stick selection, Hubs recommends 2 different lengths of roofing batten, hardwood dowels, oiled oak, broom handles, or whatever you come up with that measures about 1-1/4" wide. Precise length recommendations are determined according to the diameter structure you want to build, but you'll need 30 short and 35 long ones.

Sticks connect into a 5-way or 6-way Hub using the kit's included screws and ball connector hardware. Once the ball connectors have been secured to your sticks, you'll be able to build your dome design in an hour or less by snapping the connectors into the hub sockets.

The Hubs DIY Geodesic Garden Dome Kit is approved and endorsed by the Second Little Pig.
