Jealous Devil Onyx Binchotan Charcoal
What is Binchotan charcoal? With a name and packaging as sick as "Jealous Devil Onyx Binchotan Charcoal," clearly it's something that's going to turn me into a grilling ninja. A kebab samurai. A BBQ shogun. A hibachi...OK, you get it.
Binchotan is highly refined charcoal made for burning real long, real hot, and with no real smoke or flames. It has been carbonized under extreme heat using an ancient Japanese technique that allows a pile of Onyx to burn, baby burn, without losing its structure or performance, even throughout multiple lightings and uses. When lit, Binchotan charcoal produces far infrared heat to seal in flavors and cook food evenly from the inside out.
