Hopefully the Rib-O-Lator is as winning in execution as it is in name. The rotisserie basket fits inside your existing grill where it ferris wheels (i.e., rib-o-lates) your whole chickens, roasts, baby back pork candy, and even salmon fillets and cut veggies into evenly cooked, tender, succulent eatin's. With a few caveats:
- The Rib-O-Lator is not--not, not, not maker BBQ Innovations emphasizes--compatible with Weber Kettle grills.
- When you buy a Rib-O-Lator you get high yield of a rotating grilling basket, but not the spit rod you'll need to turn it. Gotta Amazon one of those separately.
- Likewise, the electric motor you don't need, but might want, to control the rotisserie is a separate purchase too.
BBQ Innovations says its Rib-O-Lator nearly guarantees you won't end up with dried-out ribs, and once you get the rotisserie moving, its 360-degree access to your heat source removes the hassle, and potential uh-ohs, of flipping during cooking.
The Rib-O-Lator fits 99% of all medium to large gas grills, and spit rods 5/16" to 5/8" in diameter. It is made of stainless steel, with removable, dishwasher-safe trays 18" long x 5" wide each.
