If James Bond needed a backpack to tote his textbooks and laptop to physics class, I bet a Black Ember is what he'd choose. Modular, waterproof, and very, very black, these bags are customizable with an array of accessories and attachments to cater to individual needs and tastes. Backpacks come in 15-, 20-, and 25-liter capacities, all with magnetic/mechanical locking mechanisms (mag-locks) for affixing Black Ember's Mag-Lock Pouches. Pouch selections include a Military Pouch, Hard Case, Small and Large Admin Cases, Fold-Out Laptop Sleeve (for airport security), and Roll-Top Expander. Straps and handles are also available in a variety of styles and colors for further storage and carrying versatility.
Black Ember's midsize pack, the 20-liter TL Pack, is a top loader with a pair of vertical bonded and bar-tacked zippers running along its upper sides. With no accessories attached, it features 20 liters of storage space, padded internal laptop and tablet sleeves, and a pair of waterproof exterior gear pockets. Its shoulder harness and track-style sternum straps are removable on days you want to carry the bag briefcase-style with its included leather handle, attachable to either the side or the top.
The 15-liter Slate Pack and 25-liter Neoruk Pack have slightly different designs to reflect their smaller and larger capacities, but both are also fitted with extensive options for customization and storage. All packs have at least two mag-lock enabled quad connectors on the front, and buyers can specify the addition of further connectors at checkout.
Black Ember packs are made with: carbonate-coated, 1000 denier ballistic nylon; hypalon; aluminum hardware; bonded YKK weather-proof urethan-coated zippers; and genuine leather.
