Vollebak 100 Year Sweatpants
100 years. Yep. That's about how long I feel like I've been wearing nothing but sweatpants. And not only does Vollebak feel the need to remind me of that, they also feel the need to create the 100 Year Sweatpants, a single pair of sweatpants they say I can wear for the next 100 years. And charge $500 for them!
I never in my life thought I would look forward to the day I have need to wear a suit - or even just some pants without an elastic waistband - again.
Vollebak's 100 Year Sweatpants are a follow-up to their 100 Year Hoodie, released in Version 3 earlier this year, and are likewise no slouch in performance, despite their appearance. The pants are made of a 3-layer fabric originally designed for military use, with an inner sheath of engineered fleece to keep you warm and feeling like you're wearing sweatpants, a membrane layer that's water repellent for rain, snow, and dribbling coffee on your lap, and an outer shell that's fire repellent for close encounters with campfires, fire pits, and the aromatherapy candles lit by your wife, and knocked off their countertops while lit by your cat Zanzibar.
